i can't draw real people for beans

I've had November 27th marked on my calendar ever since the trailer was released, but never realized that only four theaters were gonna get it??? lmao. Luckily, Toronto was included in the initial expansion so I didn't have to wait long at all~ ヽ(*´∀`)ﾉ

I've been obsessing over Carol for exactly two weeks now. I didn't even know what to expect, but it ended up being literally the most gorgeous, most perfect movie to ever exist. How most of the movie was shot through the dazzled, awe-stuck lens of Therese, the way winds and strings come together and that repeating motif, Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara's amazing performances, THAT ENDING!!!! THAT SWEET, BEAUTIFUL ENDING THAT MAKES YOU WANT TO SCREEEAAAM but you understand perfectly that for a movie set in the 1950s (and a book written in the 50s), there really was no other way to end it. No other perfect way. I don't think I've ever been in love with a movie before. This might actually be my first.

I've been looping the soundtrack non-stop and have gained something of an appreciation for 50s music lol. Can't wait til the book gets here~ (currently in transit! and it's almost New Year's!!)

Art Talk: Yes, it's lazy but I haven't drawn anything for December and I just really love Carol??? I'll have to work on an appropriate cartoon style if I want to draw any more fanart cuz my semi-realism game just isn't up to par. lmao
